How unicellular organisms function differently from multicellular
Unicellular organisms can only preform one task at a time while multicellular organisms can preform several at once. This occurs because one cell carries out one task at a time, multiple cells means multiple tasks, one cell means one task.
Levels of Organization
The lowest level of multicellular organisms is a cell, which is the smallest most basic unit of life.
The second level is tissues which are a group of cells that carry out a simular function.
The third level is organs which are a group of tissues that carry out a specialized function in the body.
The fourth level is organ systems which are a group of organs that work together to preform body functions.
Lastly there is an organism which is a single living thing.
